On 15 June 2023, a meeting of the working group on the development of a training programme on human rights and anti-discrimination for public servants and local government officials was held (Order of the High School of Public Governance No. 75-OD/23 of 14 June 2023) with the participation of the Director of the High School Yuliia Likhach and the Head of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Roman Romaniuk.
The meeting discussed the content of the programme, in particular, the inclusion of topics on the study of international humanitarian law, which in the context of armed conflict is a special mechanism for protecting human rights during martial law.
Joint efforts were made to expand and improve the list of legal acts included in the programme, and to clarify the target group.
At the same time, according to the Director of the High School, Yuliia Likhach, cooperation with the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights will continue in other areas. In particular, in the context of training a pool of expert trainers on human rights and anti-discrimination within the framework of the Summer School of Coaching and other programmes, in cooperation with international projects and programmes. Also, the development and implementation of various educational initiatives in the field of human rights, such as online courses, preparation of training and methodological manuals, trainings and seminars, etc.
