On 27 July 2026, 9th session of the Targeted Training Programme on European Integration for staff of central government bodies began at the College of Europe in Natolin.

The new training group brought together nine specialists representing:

  • the State Audit Service of Ukraine;
  • the State Customs Service of Ukraine;
  • the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine;
  • the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine;
  • the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety;
  • the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine;
  • the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

Over the course of six weeks, participants will deepen their knowledge of the issues covered by Cluster 4 – ‘Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity’ – and Cluster 5 – ‘Resources, Agriculture and Cohesion’. The programme combines academic study, expert mentoring, analytical work and study visits, helping participants to develop the competencies needed to support the negotiation process and Ukraine’s further integration into the European Union.

Since the start of the course, participants have already visited the Europa Experience Warsaw interactive space. Through themed stations, they deepened their understanding of the history and values of the European Union, the workings of its institutions and its decision-making mechanisms.

An interactive quiz enabled them to consolidate what they had learnt, whilst teamwork added an element of friendly competition to the learning experience. The participants deepened their understanding of how the EU functions and traced the link between European policies and the challenges facing Ukraine’s public authorities in the process of accession to the European Union.

Natolin4Capacity Building Phase II — Strengthening Ukrainian Public Administration for EU Integration (N4CB-II) is funded by the European Union and jointly implemented by the College of Europe in Natolin and the High School of Public Governance, in cooperation with the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service.
