On 14 August 2024, an Open Day was held at the High School’s Civil Service Evaluation Centre for representatives of higher education institutions.

‘The system of public authorities is one of the largest employers in Ukraine. Strengthening of the civil service is envisaged by attracting highly qualified specialists with fair and transparent selection, appointment to civil service positions based on achievements and achievements and equal treatment of candidates regardless of their gender, ethnic and social origin, disability, etc.’, said Nataliia Aliushyna, Head of the NAUCS, during the opening of the event.

Representatives of educational institutions learned more about current vacancies in the civil service, peculiarities of appointment to civil service positions, internships in state and local self-government bodies, the experience of young professionals who have recently become civil servants, and had the opportunity to learn about the main activities and technical capabilities of the Evaluation Centre. In particular, the standards of compliance with barrier-free and equal opportunities standards implemented by the Centre.

It should be added that the Open Day was held as part of the NAUCS event for young people who want to try their hand at public service. Participants had the opportunity to communicate directly with experienced civil servants. During the discussion panels, representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Veterans, Ministry of Strategy, VRU, NAUCS, NAPC, as well as international partners from PACE, UNDP, Democracy Reporting International in Ukraine, USAID Pro-Integrity answered questions from young people, motivating them to consider the state as a reliable employer and public service as a great start for further professional development.
