Online marathon for local self-government bodies: training continues

On 5 October, the High School of Public Governance hosted the next modules of the educational online marathon “Topical Issues of Local Self-Government”. The students had the opportunity to talk to two speakers at once.

Maryna Luhynya, Head of the Partnership Development Department of the External Relations Department of the Coordination Centre for Legal Aid Provision, PhD in Public Administration, spoke about the areas of cooperation between local government representatives and representatives of the free legal aid system in terms of strengthening the legal capacity of communities.

The training participants discussed how to ensure the provision of social services at the community level with Milena Kravchenko, Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Management at the National Aviation University, Doctor of Public Administration.

As part of the fourth and fifth modules of the online marathon, the students considered the organisational and legal framework for the provision of social services; work with internally displaced persons; barrier-free and inclusive approach in times of war.

They also focused on the system of free legal aid and the procedure for ensuring citizens access to such services.

As a reminder, the project is being implemented by the Higher School of Public Administration jointly with the National Agency of Civil Service,

Association of Small Cities of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Association of Centres for Administrative Services.
