On 1 December 2023, the Director of the High School Yuliia Lykhach and the Deputy Director Serhii Selivanov met with representatives of the project “Promoting Gender Equality in Ukraine”, implemented by the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the project’s goals and objectives, as well as proposals for further cooperation. The Director of the High School noted that gender policy is an integral part of public governance in any area.

In 2023, 782 public servants improved their skills in gender equality at the High School. The School also implemented an educational project called the School of Gender Mainstreaming. Therefore, the institution is interested in cooperating on the development of joint curricula and courses on gender equality for public servants.

It is worth noting, that the Project “Promoting Gender Equality in Ukraine” focuses on three key aspects: raising awareness of European and international standards of gender equality among public officials, the media and the public; strengthening institutional capacity to promote gender equality in line with the strategy; and improving tools that will help implement legislative and policy steps to promote gender equality in Ukraine.
