The Director of the High School, Yuliia Lykhach, took part in a meeting of the Interagency Working Group on Combating Sexual Violence Related to Russia’s Armed Aggression against Ukraine and Assisting Victims.
The participants summed up the results of the IWG over the year since the approval of the Implementation Plan for the UN-Ukraine Framework for Cooperation on Preventing and Combating CRSV and discussed further priority steps.
It is worth reminding that the High School of Public Governance is a co-coordinator of the Task Force on the development and implementation of trainings on CRSV.
“The Highe School, together with the National Agency, is already implementing a number of programmes,” said Yuliia Lykhach in her speech. “Today it is important to develop a unified approach to the content, forms and methods of advanced training for public servants and employees of public administration bodies on preventing and combating CRSV.
It should be noted that the High School has a national training centre on preventing and combating domestic violence and gender-based violence, which also focuses on CRSV.
In 2023, together with UN Women, the Dr Mukwege Foundation and the JurFem Association, a training of trainers programme was developed to provide training on the model CPCS on “Identifying and Responding to Conflict-Related Sexual Violence and Assisting Victims”.
During the Summer School of Coaching Skills, specialists were trained as trainers on domestic violence, gender-based violence and war-related sexual violence.
The High School of Public Governance has also completed the preparation of an online course based on the model programme on CRSV.
By the end of September, the market and educational stakeholders’ needs for training on CRSV will be studied.
