On 28 November, a two-day training course under the short-term professional development programme “Effective Human Resources Management” started.

The training is aimed at improving the competencies of public servants of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in human resources management in a state body.

The training programme was opened by Yuliia Lykhach, Director of the High School, and Artem Yanchuk, Deputy Chief of Staff of the VRU. As Yuliia Lykhach noted in her welcoming speech, this professional development programme is a relevant and valuable resource for all those seeking to improve their professional skills in the field of HR management, as the training is focused on practical aspects, as well as modern tools and methods of HR management.

The trainers were Yuliia BEH, Professor of the Department of Industrial Sociology at the Faculty of Sociology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and Mykhailo HORODOK, President of the Ukrainian Association of Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Over the course of two days, participants will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge of human resources management in the context of ensuring the institutional capacity of a government agency. Attention will be paid to the issues of personal effectiveness of employees, as well as the moral and psychological climate in the team. The key points of positive communication in the team and staff motivation will also be considered.
