Anti-corruption work in the activities of public authorities

On 25 October 2024, the High School of Public Governance, with the support of the USAID/FCDO Project “Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector” (Pro-Integrity), launched professional training for authorized persons on corruption prevention and detection under the general short-term program “Implementation of a professional standard of anti-corruption work in the activities of government and local self-government bodies”.

The purpose of this training is to raise awareness of the requirements of Ukrainian legislation in the field of corruption prevention, current practice of applying the relevant rules on existing requirements, prohibitions and restrictions, and taking the necessary response measures.

The program was attended by 80 authorized persons for the prevention and detection of corruption, including representatives of both state authorities and local government officials.

The trainers from the USAID/FCDO Project “Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector” (Pro-Integrity) were Anna Fedorenko, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the NGO “Foundation for Institutional Development”, anti-corruption trainer, and Kateryna Datsko, Executive Director of the NGO “Foundation for Institutional Development”, anti-corruption trainer.

This training will provide participants with practical knowledge and skills to effectively implement a professional standard of anti-corruption work in their institutions, which will help strengthen integrity in the public sector and increase public trust in state and local authorities. The training program is an important step towards building a transparent governance system that prioritizes the prevention of corruption risks and ensuring compliance with Ukrainian legislation.
