On July 24, 2024, as part of the educational marathon “Organization of Work at the De-occupied Territories”, which began at the High School in early July, an online meeting was held with Natalia Shamrai, Director of the Center for Administrative Services of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration) and Head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Centers for Administrative Services. The topic of discussion was the peculiarities of exercising powers by administrative service centers under martial law.
Ms. Shamrai shared with the marathon participants the experience of Kyiv’s ASCs during the military aggression, the measures taken to ensure the uninterrupted provision of administrative services to the population, changes in the work of ASCs caused by martial law, as well as the challenges and prospects for the work of ASCs in the de-occupied territories.
The meeting with Natalia Shamrai was the third of five training modules of the marathon aimed at developing practical skills in the field of reintegration of the liberated territories and sustainable development of Ukraine. The project program involves experienced public administration experts who have extensive experience in state and local government.
To date, more than 800 participants have registered for the educational marathon. This format of training provides an opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in organizing work in the de-occupied territories; to get acquainted with the experience of specialists from various government and local authorities and to interact with experts and other marathon participants.
