The seminar ‘Organisation of cybersecurity and technical protection of information in public authorities, enterprises, institutions and organisations’ was held. The event was organised by the High School of Public Governance in cooperation with the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine.
Representatives of government agencies responsible for cybersecurity, specialists in technical information protection and information resource management experts were involved in the training.
During the seminar, the specialists were introduced to key cybersecurity measures, the development of plans in accordance with the requirements of the National Center for Public Information Resources Backup and CERT-UA, as well as the permitting procedure for technical information protection.
Among the speakers were leading experts in the field of cybersecurity, including:
– Denys Zubkov, Deputy Director of the Department of Cybersecurity of the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine, who presented the main requirements for cybersecurity of government agencies, including risk assessment methods and mechanisms for responding to cyber incidents.
– Yuriy Vasyliev, Head of the Department of Information Protection, highlighted regulatory changes in the permitting procedure for technical information protection and the specifics of interaction between the government agencies and relevant state agencies.
The seminar reaffirmed the critical importance of cybersecurity for the public sector and the need for a systematic approach to the security of information resources. Participants received up-to-date knowledge and practical tools to reinforce the digital security of their institutions. The High School of Public Governance continues to develop educational initiatives aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity competencies of civil servants.
