A seminar was held on ‘Organisation of cyber security and technical protection of information in public authorities, enterprises, institutions and organisations’. The event was organised by the High School of Public Governance in cooperation with the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine.

The training was attended by deputy ministers, heads of structural units of ministries and agencies responsible for administering registers and ensuring technical protection of information, as well as representatives of enterprises and institutions working in the field of information security.

At the opening of the event, Nataliia Aliushyna, the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service of the National Service of Ukraine on Civil Service, stressed the importance of improving the level of cyber protection of state information resources in the face of modern threats.

The seminar covered the following topics:

• State control over the state of technical protection of information and cyber defence. The main disadvantages of violations of the law.
• Peculiarities of implementing the requirements of the CMU Resolution No. 627 dated 30.05.2024 ‘On the implementation of a pilot project on declaring the conformity of integrated information security systems in information, electronic communication and information and communication systems created using information security profiles’
• Cybersecurity plan for government agencies. General requirements for cyber defence (ICS) and submission of information on the assessment of the state of ICS security.
• Cybersecurity services of the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine, modern services for monitoring and responding to cyber incidents, including backup services and rapid response to threats.

During the seminar, participants discussed current challenges in the field of cyber defence, received practical recommendations on how to improve information security measures and shared their experience of implementing relevant solutions in their institutions.

The final stage of the event was an active discussion and exchange of experience between the participants. This allowed the participants to identify further areas of cooperation in the field of protecting state information resources.
