On October 8, the general short-term professional development programme ‘Security and Resilience of Critical Infrastructure’ started. This programme was developed by the High School in partnership with the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

The aim of the training is to create a basis for the development of new management approaches, implementation of international best practices in the field of critical infrastructure protection and Ukraine’s integration into the Euro-Atlantic security system. The training will also develop the capacity of management personnel to formulate and implement a comprehensive state policy in the field of critical infrastructure security and resilience.

Civil servants of categories ‘B’ and ‘C’ will gain knowledge and develop practical skills to ensure the security and resilience of critical infrastructure in a changing and uncertain security environment.

Over the course of three days, the participants will consider the organisational, legal and conceptual foundations of state policy in the relevant area. Among the important topics to be discussed are mechanisms and tools for managing the risks of disruption of critical infrastructure.

Particular attention will be paid to the system of coordination and information exchange, as well as the specifics of ensuring the resilience of critical infrastructure and community life support.

It is worth mentioning the significance of this training, as advanced training in the issues of organising the security and resilience of critical infrastructure in an unstable security environment, as well as the study of international experience, are extremely important.
