32 civil servants of category A continue their studies under the School of Strategy Training educational project at the High School.

Every week, students will study mandatory and elective modules to master new competencies necessary for the implementation of a strategic approach to public administration.

The curriculum covers understanding of strategic management models, preparation and implementation of development strategies, team building and effective team interaction, leadership for change, organisational transformation and strategic planning.

Today, the participants focused on the module ‘Strategy for the Development of Public Spheres’, where they studied the organisation’s development strategy, algorithms for conducting SWOT analysis, goal setting, risk management, performance indicators, monitoring and evaluation of results.

The theoretical knowledge was reinforced by practical exercises in groups with SERGe trainers. The students developed a logical model of the organisation’s strategy, compiled a list of tasks for the Operational Plan, and mapped risks to the Strategic Objectives of the Logic Model.

This stage of training was another step in preparing senior managers to implement effective development strategies in public administration.
