The Summer School of Coaching Excellence, which started on 13 August, featured professional discussions on topical areas of professional development for public servants. Experienced experts, together with the School participants, addressed key issues: whom we train, what knowledge and skills we teach, for what purpose and with what tools.
The TOP 5 topics were selected for discussion: countering disinformation and cybersecurity, psychosocial support and communication with female and male veterans, transparency and information openness, European integration, human rights and gender equality.
The moderators of the thematic panels were Yuliia Lykhach, Head of the High School, Roksolana Stadnyk, Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Viktoriia Zrazhevska, Head of the Training Department of the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security at the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, Serhii Nizhynskyi, Head of the NGO ‘UA Experts’, Advisor to the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, and Serhii Kulinskyi, Head of the National Training Centre for Prevention and Counteraction to Domestic Violence.
Trainers’ manuals were also presented to the participants of the Summer School: ‘Developing the Coaching Skills of Teachers Who Train Civil Servants’, ’Gender Responsive Governance. A Manual for Trainers’, “Access to Public Information for Civil Servants of Local Self-Government Bodies”, “Manual on Preventing and Combating Discrimination for Civil Servants, Local Self-Government Officials and Administrative Service Providers”, and a manual for trainers on gender equality “Building Gender Competencies of Civil Servants and Local Self-Government Officials”.
The programme of the Summer School included intensive training in various areas, which allowed the participants to get the most out of the training in a short time. During the four days, they were fully immersed in the learning process and gained new knowledge and skills in specific TfTs that meet their individual professional needs.
