On 18 October 2023, the final stage of the online marathon training for local self-government bodies “Topical Issues of Local Self-Government Activities” took place.

Over the course of six weeks, about 600 participants had a unique opportunity to gain new knowledge and practical skills to improve the efficiency and quality of work through the implementation of effective tools of local self-government and territorial organisation of power in the context of adaptation to new political and socio-economic challenges.

During the final module, the participants discussed the specifics of the exercise of powers by administrative service centres under martial law with Natalia Shamrai, Director of the Administrative Service Centre of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration), Head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Administrative Service Centres, PhD in Public Administration.

The students discussed the powers of local authorities to provide administrative services and the specifics of communication in the provision of administrative services to vulnerable groups during the war. They also discussed ways to optimise the provision of administrative services and simplify the procedures for their provision in local governments during martial law.

As a result of the online educational marathon, the participants who completed the entire course received certificates.
