As part of the educational project ‘Organisation of work in the de-occupied territories’, a meeting was held with representatives of state bodies, local government officials and persons enrolled in the personnel reserve in the de-occupied territories.

During the training, the participants discussed the topic of ‘Preventing Corruption and Ensuring Integrity’ with a speaker, Iryna Chagovets, Head of the Department of Educational Work and Training Programmes of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

Main topics of discussion:

• Corruption & Integrity: Where are we now and how to change the situation for the better?
• Fighting corruption and building integrity in Ukraine;
• Components of successful anti-corruption and building integrity;
• The role of the NACP in building a virtuous government and a just society;
• Client-oriented areas of the agency’s work.

Iryna Chahovets stressed that the culture of integrity is formed from childhood, and education in schools and universities plays an important role in this. The speaker stressed that the public interest should prevail over the private one.

Attention was also paid to the NACP’s products and the online learning platform study.nazk.gov.ua.

For reference: In May 2023, the government initiated a pilot project to create a reserve of employees to work in the de-occupied territories in order to provide government agencies with qualified personnel.

More than 918 participants are registered in the educational project, which provides a unique opportunity to learn from the experience of specialists from various government and local authorities, as well as to exchange ideas and knowledge with experts and other participants.
