A programme on “Russian disinformation and ways to counter it” was completed at the High School. More than 50 civil servants of categories B and C successfully upgraded their skills and received the relevant certificates.
The main objective of the programme is to increase the level of professional competence of public servants in identifying disinformation narratives and false messages, responding to and counteracting disinformation and false information to organise effective communications with the public and strengthen information security in a hybrid war.
Over the course of five days, the participants gained knowledge and skills on the general principles of hybrid warfare, information attacks and information security; the concept of disinformation and current disinformation narratives; responding to and countering disinformation narratives and false information; and media literacy of civil servants.
The trainers were Ihor Solovey, Head of the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security; and the Centre’s staff – Maria Sahaidak, Head of Strategic Communications, Maksym Mayorov, Senior Analyst, Maksym Vikhrov, Analyst, Serhiy Zhukov, Monitoring Specialist; as well as Anastasia Apetyk, Head of Apetyk Consulting, Head of the Board of the NGO “MINZMIN”, Olha Kravchenko, Head of the National Project of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy on Media Literacy “Filter”, and Tetiana Dudnik, Head of the Communications Department of the National Project of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy on Media Literacy “Filter”.
