On September 25, 2024, the High School of Public Governance launched a two-day information and educational online training ‘NATO School’, which brought together representatives of regional state administrations of Dnipro, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions.
The initiative was implemented with the support of the NATO Representation to Ukraine, the NATO-Ukraine Civic League, the National Agency for Civil Service and the Public Council at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The main goal of the event was to raise awareness of the structure, functions and activities of NATO, as well as to strengthen regional cooperation in the context of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration. The training has become an important platform for the exchange of views and best practices among civil servants.
The training will cover a wide range of topics, including the historical background of NATO, the enlargement process, the NATO accession process, and Ukraine’s cooperation with NATO.

Ihor TODOROV – Doctor of History, Professor at Uzhhorod National University, Deputy Chairman of the Coordination Council of the NATO-Ukraine Civic League;
Taras ZHOVTENKO, international security expert at the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation;
Ihor PYLYPCHUK – Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine at the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;

The training provided the participants with new tools for their professional activities, in particular in preparing for Euro-Atlantic integration with NATO, which is especially important in the context of current challenges.
