Yuliia Lykhach, Head of the High School, and Nataliia Sablina, Chairman of the Board of the International Association of Psychologists and Expert Trainers, signed a partnership and cooperation agreement
The cooperation between the High School and the International Association of Psychologists and Expert Trainers should focus on providing psychological assistance to public servants who have suffered psychological trauma as a result of the war. These groups of people include combatants, people who have been/are in the frontline area, and those who have survived the occupation. The cooperation will have a significant impact on preserving and restoring mental health, reducing the prevalence of mental disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder, increasing resilience to stress factors, and improving the quality of life of people affected by the war.
The agreement provides for the joint development and implementation of educational programmes, trainings, seminars and other events; methodological assistance, exchange of information and methodological materials on mental and emotional health, development of proposals for the work of institutions under martial law in Ukraine.
The cooperation with the International Association of Psychologists and Expert Trainers will be reflected in the High School’s curricula in terms of supporting the mental health of public servants.
The signing of the agreement was preceded by a joint international conference on communication between public servants and the military, veterans and their families, called “There is a Challenge!”. The event was dedicated to sharing experience in preserving and restoring the mental health of society; highlighting research results and discussing vectors for combining the efforts of psychologists, representatives of public authorities and the public to address pressing issues of psychosocial support and reintegration into civilian life for veterans.
