On February 1–2, 2024, the general short-term program “General Administrative Procedure” was held for public servants of categories “B” and “C”, as well as representatives of local self-government bodies of Uman City Council.

The purpose of the course was to increase the level of professional competence and knowledge on administrative procedure, legal regulation of the adoption and execution of administrative acts, and the development of basic skills and abilities to apply administrative procedure legislation, as well as practical skills.

The programme was attended by 85 participants working in the areas of administrative services, inspection activities and other areas of public administration. It should be noted that the program partner is the EU project “Support to Comprehensive Public Administration Reform in Ukraine” (EU4PAR), funded by the European Union.

The trainers of the event were EU4PAR experts, Associate Professors of the Department of Administrative Law at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Iryna Boyko and Olha Soloviova.

Over the course of two days, the participants reviewed the basics of general administrative procedure, the concepts of “administrative body and participants in administrative proceedings,” “administrative proceedings, and administrative act.”. They also discussed the resolution of conflicts and the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Administrative Procedure”

The knowledge and skills gained during the training will contribute to better administrative service delivery and more efficient on-site inspection activities.
