Director of the High School Yuliia Lykhach took part in a working meeting of the NAUCS with representatives of the project office of the All-Ukrainian Association of Local Self-Government Bodies “Association of Amalgamated Hromadas” – Director Tetiana Nehaichuk and Project Manager Liubov Korop.

During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the NAUCS, the Higher School of Public Administration and the project office within the framework of the training programme for local government representatives.

The plans include a combination of theory and practical cases, coworking spaces, workshops, and the organisation of a community of representatives of management, donors, local authorities, and public authorities. Ukrainian and international experts will be involved in teaching. The training programmes will include economic development and spatial planning, security and digitalisation of management processes, etc. It is planned to provide mentoring support to the graduates of the training programme in writing and implementing grant projects.

It should be noted that in a month, the High School, together with the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service and with the support of the European Union’s U-LEAD with Europe Programme, will launch the School of Mayors educational project. Therefore, cooperation with the Association of Amalgamated Territorial Communities will be an important step towards the implementation of joint educational initiatives to improve the skills and professionalism of local government employees for effective community management.
