The Head of the High School, Yuliia Lykhach, took part in a meeting of the NAUCS Coordination Council on Professional Training of Civil Servants. The issues of monitoring the processes taking place in the professional training system were discussed. In particular, the proposed indicators for assessing the state of the vocational training system and indicators for assessing the quality of professional development were considered.

High education was actively involved in the activities of the working group set up by the NAUCS to develop indicators for assessing the quality of in-service training.

Since the proper functioning of the in-service training system involves the interaction of regulatory, organisational, functional and training mechanisms, the advantage of the developed document is that it takes into account the availability of educational services, the characteristics of the educational environment and the educational process during in-service training, and, of course, the results and quality management of in-service training.

According to the Head of the High School, Yuliia Lykhach, the availability of the approved indicators will help to strengthen the effectiveness of the in-service training system, and will allow public servants to better develop their knowledge, skills and abilities, which is important for their growth as professionals to properly perform the functions of state and local self-government.

The list of indicators for assessing the state of the vocational training system is grouped into three clusters of indicators. These are the institutional basis of the professional training system, professional development during the career, and the results of professional training of public servants.

The presented indicators should become a toolkit that will allow for effective management of the professional training system based on continuous monitoring of the system. And the results of such observations are the basis for making appropriate management decisions, developing proposals for the development and improvement of the vocational training system, including ensuring the quality of educational services.
