On October 11, the two-day training ‘Communication of European Integration: the Process of Creating a Communication Strategy and Action Plan’, organised by the High School of Public Governance in cooperation with the EU project «Association4U», came to an end. The event was aimed at improving the skills of civil servants working on the implementation of the Communication Strategy on Ukraine’s European Integration. The training was attended by 44 representatives of government agencies.

The programme of the event combined lecture sessions and practical exercises, which allowed the participants to improve their skills in developing communication strategies, analysing target audiences and formulating key messages. An important element of the training was a discussion of Russian propaganda narratives and methods of countering disinformation in the context of European integration processes.

Among the speakers at the training were Ivetta Delikatna, key communications expert at Association4U, Maria Fomenko, senior communications manager at the Reforms Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and Serhii Zhukov, analyst at the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security.

Cesar Herma, an expert on legislative approximation, also joined the training online.

The training has become an important part of the process of preparing civil servants to effectively perform communication tasks in the field of Ukraine’s European integration. The participants gained new knowledge and practical skills that will help improve the quality of public relations and the implementation of European integration policy at the national level.
