This is the title of the High School’s educational series on the history of Ukrainian statehood.

The series, which was created by both the ideological inspirers of the School and those who put their ideas into practice, was presented to the general public on the occasion of the Day of Civil Service of Ukraine at the NAUCS.

“The idea of the exhibition was born a year ago. We wanted to show the diversity and richness of Ukrainian history and increase the sense of patriotism and pride in our country,” said Yuliia Likhach, Head of the High School, during the presentation. “I would like to thank our partners, the National Agency and UN Women in Ukraine, for implementing the project. And also to all the participants in the filming process – from script developers to “actors”. These are Serhii Konik, Deputy Director of the Artek International Children’s Centre, Nataliia Shamrai, Head of the All-Ukrainian Association of ASCs, Roksolana Stadnyk, Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Kyiv City Council, Anatolii Melnychenko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Yurii Pizhuk, Head of the Trade Union of State Institutions of Ukraine, Yanina Lyubyva, Open Data Expert of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Andrii Butenko, Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, Larysa Kom, Director of the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service.

The ten episodes cover different historical epochs: the princely era, the Cossack era, the formation of the modern Ukrainian nation, the figures of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921, the OUN-UPA, the resistance movement in Ukraine, prominent women in the Ukrainian national revival, the contribution of emigrants to the processes of state-building, the establishment of independence and the heroes of the present.

Filming took place in the best museums of Ukraine – the National Conservation Area “St Sophia of Kyiv”, the Museum of Hetmanate, the Museum of Outstanding Ukrainian Cultural Figures, the Museum of the Formation of the Ukrainian Nation, the Museum of the Sixties, and the Museum of the Diaspora.

We would like to add that this educational series will be used by the High School for the professional development programmes for public servants. Each episode will be freely available and can be used for educational purposes in the context of civic education.

All 10 episodes will soon be uploaded to the official YouTube channel.
