On October 2, 2024, the training of heads of district state administrations, which had been underway since September 9, ended. It was implemented through the joint efforts of the High School of Public Governance, the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and the Office of the President of Ukraine.
A total of 110 heads of district state administrations from 25 regions of Ukraine were trained.
The main goal of the programme was to enhance the qualifications and managerial skills of the participants to ensure their effective work in the context of decentralisation and public administration reforms.
The programme included intensive lectures, discussions and debates conducted by leading government officials and experts in various areas of public administration. The participants noted the high professionalism of the speakers, the practical orientation of the knowledge gained and the usefulness of the topics discussed, such as the exercise of powers by the heads of district state administrations, expenditures for the maintenance of local state authorities and local self-government bodies, communication and interaction with veterans, provision of medical and social services, ethics and integrity issues.
Among the speakers were representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Veterans. They also included representatives of the NAPC, the National Social Service of Ukraine and the “Vesta” charity foundation.
