On 14-15 August, the Council of Europe’s HELP (Human Rights Education for Lawyers) for Ukraine, including in Time of War project conducted a training of trainers (TfT) as part of the Summer School of Trainers.
The training was attended by 26 representatives of the National School of Judges of Ukraine, the Ukrainian National Bar Association Higher School of Advocacy, the Academy of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and the Training Centre for Prosecutors of Ukraine.
According to the organisers, the purpose of the HELP training for trainers is to prepare HELP tutors and acquire skills to successfully teach the HELP online course to different audiences. The training focused on the HELP methodology for legal professionals and the HELP e-learning platform.
The trainers were Krystyna Khokhlova, Project Coordinator of the Council of Europe HELP Programme, and Arevik Abramyants, Deputy Head of the Analytical Department for Prosecutors Training at the Training Centre for Prosecutors of Ukraine, HELP tutor.
During the event, the participants got acquainted with the HELP methodology, gained technical skills to conduct trainings with tutors on the HELP online learning platform in accordance with the HELP methodology, and learned about the role of tutors in the implementation of courses.
Certified HELP tutors will be able to carry out national adaptation and implement HELP courses for different audiences.
