On October 17, the High School completed the training program “Topical Issues of Local Self-Government” organized jointly with the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and the All-Ukrainian Association of Amalgamated Territorial Communities. More than 100 participants successfully completed the training, gaining relevant knowledge and practical skills that will help them effectively address modern challenges.

Today, the role of local government goes beyond traditional management functions. It covers important areas such as protection of the population, organizational and legal aspects of military administrations, peculiarities of exercising powers by Administrative Service Centers, as well as communication and interaction between local governments and the public. In addition, it is important to ensure financial sustainability, attract extra-budgetary funds, prevent corruption and guarantee integrity. Special attention was paid to working with veterans and their social integration.

We face the challenges of rebuilding destroyed cities, restoring ecological balance and overcoming demographic challenges.Over the course of two weeks, the project speakers included representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Finance, the NAPC, the Association of ATCs, the State Emergency Service, the All-Ukrainian Association of ASCs, the National Social Service, the High School, the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Protection Research, and the Vesta Charitable Foundation.

This is the second year of the project, which is an important step in training professionals who will play a key role in ensuring the sustainable development of municipalities. The knowledge and skills gained will contribute to the further recovery and development of Ukraine.
