Today, on 5 July, the “School of Strategic Thinking”, an initiative of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (NACS) and the High School of Public Administration together with the Support to Ukraine’s Government Reforms (SURGe) project, has started.
This innovative educational platform for category A civil servants was created on the basis of the High School of Public Administration. The case studies to be taught by experienced teachers and trainers include strategies for the development of certain areas of public administration, individual government agencies and personal development of the leader.
“For effective post-war recovery, we must adapt the public administration sector to EU standards. Therefore, civil servants of category A must have competencies that require a strategic vision, understanding of strategic management models, the ability to prepare and implement development strategies, form teams and achieve teamwork, and demonstrate leadership to implement changes. All this will be studied at the School of Strategic Training,” said Nataliia Aliushyna, Head of the NAUCS, opening the first training day.
The first “School of Strategy Training” was attended by 45 civil servants of category A.
