As the French writer Agnes Martin-Lugan rightly notes, “happy people read books”. After all, reading is a form of relaxation that helps fight stress and bad mood. So the idea for the project came about as a kind of reboot outside of work.
The High School Book Club is an open, voluntary community united by an interest in reading books, a desire to share literary experiences and deepen cultural development.
We are all undoubtedly different, each with our own experience, views, preferences, including literary, life, and philosophical ones. However, the format of the club will allow everyone to be on the same “reading wave” with colleagues and like-minded people.
The organisers say the goal is to create a favourable atmosphere for the exchange of opinions, ideas and experiences, the development of analytical skills and critical thinking in the process of discussing literature related to politics, leadership, civil service and service in local self-government, development strategies and other topics related to public administration.
It is planned to hold both online and offline meetings to allow participants to gather, communicate, and exchange views in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Readers’ discussions will be held once every one or two months. The date, form and topic of the meeting will be announced via social media of High School.
So stay tuned for announcements! The first meeting with an interesting topic and discussion is already being planned!
