From 3 to 6 February, the High School of Public Governance held a training on Strategic Communications in Euro-Atlantic Integration. The event was attended by 30 civil servants of categories B and C, as well as local government officials. The participants learned about the main approaches to communication policy in the context of Euro-Atlantic integration.

The training program was aimed at improving professional competence in strategic communications. Participants deepened their knowledge of Ukraine’s state policy on Euro-Atlantic integration, methods of information interaction, and the basics of strategic communications. Particular attention was paid to the experience of NATO and EU member states, analysis of their approaches to strategic communications and countering disinformation. The students mastered the tools of information influence, ways of communicating with different audiences, and methods of preventing negative information and psychological influences. An important area was the study of the organization and analysis of strategic communications in the public sector, as well as the protection of personnel from external information threats.

Strategic communications are an important element of the state’s information policy, which contributes to the promotion of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic course. In the face of current challenges related to disinformation and hybrid threats, proper training of civil servants helps to increase public trust, ensure effective communication of the official position and strengthen Ukraine’s international image.
