The High School of Public Governance has completed the general short-term training programme ‘Application of the principles of result-based management in planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of Ukraine’s commitments in the field of European integration’.

The programme was developed and implemented with the support of the Support to Ukraine’s Reforms for Governance (SURGe) international technical assistance project, implemented in Ukraine by Alinea International Ltd. and funded by the Government of Canada.

The programme involved 125 civil servants who are responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring and reporting on the fulfilment of Ukraine’s commitments in the area of European integration and the approximation of Ukrainian legislation to EU law.

During the course of the training, the participants deepened their knowledge of the principles of results-based management, the processes of developing policy plans and state strategic planning documents, and the status of Ukraine’s commitments in the field of European integration. In addition, they gained practical skills in working with the PROJECTUA strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation system based on the principles of results-based management, including learning how to use the system for policy implementation and monitoring.
