On 7 September 2023, the High School of Public Governance will launch an online educational marathon “Topical Issues of Local Self-Government”.
The project is being implemented jointly with the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, the Association of Small Cities of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Association of Centres for Administrative Services. The project will enable 200 local government officials to improve their skills.
Over the course of six weeks, the participants will have a unique opportunity to gain new knowledge and practical skills to improve the efficiency and quality of their work through the implementation of effective tools of local self-government and territorial organisation of power in the context of adaptation to new political and socio-economic challenges.
The programme aims to improve the level of the following professional competencies
The following modules will be covered as part of the advanced training programme:
-Cooperation of territorial communities.
-Local budget and financial support of the territorial -community.Communications and interaction between local self-government bodies and the public.
-Ensuring the provision of social services at the community level.Directions of interaction between representatives of local self-government bodies and representatives of the free legal aid system in terms of strengthening the legal capacity of communities.
-Peculiarities of exercising powers by administrative service centres under martial law.
-Strategic planning of local development.The training will take place every Thursday on the Community Solutions Supermarket platform, where detailed information on each specific module will be available.
Upon successful completion of the entire training course, participants will receive the relevant certificates.
