On April 3, a meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council of the High School was held. In her opening remarks, Nataliia Shcherbak, Chairman of the Scientific and Expert Council, noted that in 2024 the School is working to strengthen the practical component of the educational, methodological and scientific support for the advanced training of public servants. Thus, on 22 March, together with the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and the Centre for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, the High School held a scientific and practical conference with international participation “Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Professionalisation of the Civil Service” at the State University of Zhytomyr Polytechnic. Currently, the High School is actively involved in the preparation of the International Conference on Communication between Public Servants and Military, Veterans and Their Families, which is scheduled for April.
Two main issues were put forward for consideration by the Council members. To strengthen the practical orientation of the educational process, the School is deepening partnership communications. Maryna Kanavets, Head of the Centre for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the EU Standards, presented the results of the Analytical Study with conclusions and recommendations for public authorities aimed at improving decision-making procedures in the field of public policy making in the legislative and executive branches. The results of the study will be used by the Higher School to develop professional development programmes.
Svitlana Moskalenko, Head of the Department of teaching methodology and scientific research of the High School, reported on the preparation of scientific developments to improve the educational process.
Proposals for the work of the Scientific and Expert Council in 2024 were also considered. In particular, to improve the scientific support of the educational process, prepare scientific developments for educational and methodological support of professional development, promote the establishment of educational and scientific partnership communications to increase confidence in the professional training of public servants, etc.
