The High School has summed up the results of the English Summer School training project, which lasted from 28 August to 9 September 2024.

The English Summer School allowed 28 civil servants from 12 institutions to improve their foreign language proficiency, gain important communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills.

Thanks to the highly professional work of four teachers from the Higher School of Public Administration, the civil servants successfully completed the Everyday Communication programme. The course included the practice of spoken English in real-life situations, the development of debate and discussion skills. The training was intensive, which helped the students to immerse themselves in the language environment and actively practice English in business and social communication.

During the awarding ceremony, Iryna Tymoshchuk, Head of the Center for Study of Official Languages of the European Union at the High School, stressed that improving the level of English among civil servants improves work efficiency, facilitates integration into international processes and enhances the country’s image on the world stage.

The participants of the English Summer School noted the high level of organisation and professionalism of the teachers and stressed that the knowledge and skills they had acquired would be useful both in their professional activities and in everyday life.

The success of the English Summer School 2024 has confirmed the relevance and demand for such programmes for public servants. It is worth noting that the School implements many foreign language projects in different formats and for different levels of training, which are practical and focused on developing the skills necessary to work in public administration.
