The Democracy Week educational marathon continues at the High School of Public Governance, which has gathered a large number of participants, including civil servants, local government officials and students of higher education institutions.
On 18 September, the marathon participants were divided into 2 thematic platforms. The first one was aimed at raising awareness of civil servants and local government officials about the importance of mentoring and leadership, expanding knowledge about the gender dimension of leadership, modern media technologies, as well as mastering tools for self-regulation and prevention of professional burnout.
In particular, a number of lectures were held under the programme: ‘Mentoring for Leaders: European Integration and Restoration of Ukraine’.
The speakers of the platform were: Natalia Sablina, Head of the International Association of Psychologists and Expert Trainers, Director of the Natalia Sablina Training Centre, Iryna Subota, Information Security Analyst and Lecturer at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and Roksolana Stadnyk, Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Over 70 people took part in this platform.
The second platform was aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of civil servants and local government officials in engaging young people in the processes of formulating and implementing youth policy in line with Council of Europe standards.
The speakers of the platform ‘Youth Policy Based on Participatory Approaches’ were Larysa Lisohor, researcher at the National Institute for Strategic Studies, Ihor Khrebtiy, head of the Centre for Evaluation of Candidates for Civil Service Positions, and Vladyslav Yatsuk, director of the Department of Youth Policy at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. This platform brought together more than 80 participants.
The Democracy Week educational marathon at the High School of Public Governance provided participants with relevant knowledge on mentoring, leadership, psycho-emotional support and youth policy. The educational marathon continues. The next sessions will focus on cybersecurity and EU-Ukraine relations.
