Transparent, open and honest Ukraine

Return

The fight against corruption is extremely important for Ukraine, as corruption has a negative impact on the development of the economy, democracy and socially stable country.

In order to achieve these goals, it is necessary to ensure an adequate level of professional training for public servants and local government officials, which will help to increase their competence in the field of corruption prevention, develop their skills in effective public administration, and ensure high standards of openness and transparency in their activities. This training will be an impetus for reducing corruption, which is especially important in connection with Ukraine’s obtaining the status of a candidate country for membership in the European Union.

In accordance with the Action Plan for the Implementation of the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025, the High School of Public Governance, in cooperation with the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and the Interaction project, plans to develop and implement a number of activities in 2023, including:

  • a general short-term training program for category “A” civil servants on the role of the manager in building an integrity environment in the organization;
  • a general short-term training program for authorized persons on prevention and detection of corruption on the key functions of the professional standard “Commissioner for Anti-Corruption Activities”
  • general short-term professional development program on corruption risk management;
  • a general professional program on corruption prevention and integrity; updating materials and conducting training for authorized persons on corruption prevention and detection under the program “Organization of Declaration Work in a Government Agency”;

In addition, the High School actively uses training materials from the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption’s platform Study.NAZK in the development of new professional development programs for public servants and local government officials, in particular in the Restoration project.

According to the High School’s Schedule, in 2023, it is planned to train 75 authorized persons for the prevention and detection of corruption under general professional training programs and 266 under general short-term programs. Professional training of public servants and local government officials will be carried out jointly with the NACP and the Interaction project under the following programs:

  • GPDP on Corruption Prevention and Building Integrity;
  • GSPDP “Organization of Declaration Work in a Public Body”;
