The last day of filming for the educational series “Prominent Personalities of Ukraine in Nation- and State-Building Processes” is officially over. The only thing left to do is to put the finishing touches and prepare for the premiere.
“Very soon, the educational series, which was developed by both the ideological inspirers of the High School of Public Governance and those who implemented our ideas in practice, will be presented to the general public,” said Yuliia Lykhach, Head of the High School. “I am grateful to our partners, the National Agency for State Building and UN Women in Ukraine, for implementing the project. And also to all the participants in the filming process – from script writers to “actors”. They are Nataliia Aliushyna, Head of the National Agency, Serhii Konik, Deputy Head of the State Institution for Educational Work of the Artek International Children’s Centre, Nataliia Shamrai, Head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Centres for Administrative Services, Roksolana Stadnyk, Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Yurii Pizhuk, Head of the Trade Union of State Institutions of Ukraine, Larysa Komakha, Head of the Educational and Research Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service, Mykola Kyrychenko, Rector of the State Higher Education Institution “University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
Each of the 10 thematic series focused on a specific historical period and prominent figures – the princely era, the Cossack era, the formation of the modern Ukrainian nation, the figures of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921, the OUN-UPA, the resistance movement in Ukraine, prominent women in the Ukrainian national revival, the contribution of emigrants to the processes of state-building, the establishment of independence and heroes of the present.
The filming took place at historical locations in the capital: St Sophia Cathedral, the Hetmanate Museum, the Museum of Outstanding Ukrainian Cultural Figures, the Museum of the Sixties, the Museum of the Formation of the Ukrainian Nation, the Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora, etc.
The creators of the series sought to show the diversity and richness of Ukrainian history and to increase the sense of patriotism and pride in their country. The series will be used by the High School for professional development programmes for public servants. After the presentation, the series will be made freely available, and everyone will have the opportunity to learn about the history of Ukrainian statehood through the prism of the activities of prominent personalities.
