On March 12, the second training module of the School of Strategic Thinking was held for senior public servants newly appointed to category A positions.

It is worth reminding that this educational project was launched by the High School in 2023 jointly with the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and with the support of the Support to Ukraine’s Government Reforms (SURGe) project.

This year’s training for 20 category A public servants is in the form of a business game called Ukraine – A Country of Opportunities.

During the second module, SURGe project trainers, Maria Plaksenko, head of the Human-Centred Policy Results team, and strategic planning experts Tetiana Danyliv, Iryna Lazorevych, and Natalia Koroliuk, worked with the students.

The participants built strategies for the development of selected public areas, analysed the tasks for policy goals, assessed risks and identified performance indicators. This format of training enables students to generate innovative solutions, understand long-term consequences and develop effective plans to achieve goals.

In total, the School of Strategy Training includes 7 modules aimed at developing a strategy for the development and recovery of Ukraine, the development of a public authority, including its staff, the development of the relevant area of public administration and the personal development of the manager.
