The event marked the beginning of a dialogue between state institutions that share a common goal: to develop the professional competencies of public servants and support modern approaches to public administration.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the High School, Yulia Lykhach, and the Head of the Latvian School of Public Administration, Agita Kalvina.

During the conversation, the parties presented the activities of their institutions, shared approaches to the organization of professional training, and discussed thematic areas of work. In particular, Yulia Lykhach presented the structure and key areas of activity of the High School, and outlined the priorities for 2026: the development of management competencies, digital literacy and cybersecurity, EU language training, human rights issues, gender equality, accessibility, and support for European integration processes.

The participants paid special attention to opportunities for potential cooperation. They discussed the exchange of experience, the implementation of joint educational initiatives, as well as expert and methodological support in areas related to European integration and the development of institutional capacity in the public service.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further interaction and in identifying practical formats for cooperation that will contribute to the professional development of public servants and strengthen management capacities.

The event was held as part of the PAR4UA project “Strengthening Ukraine’s Public Administration Reform for EU Integration“, which is being implemented by the Professional Government Association of Ukraine and Domnīca Providus / Centre for Public Policy Providus on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.
